Policies/Procedures

My name is Brooke Metten. I am a certified Massage Therapist. I graduated from Pacific College of Health and Sciences with a degree in Massage Therapy and Asian Bodywork. I having full training in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Thai Massage as well as technique training in Craniosacral, Lomi Lomi, Cupping, Guasha, Hot Stones, Myofascial Release, Pre/Post Athletic Events, and Lymphatic Drainage. I work with clients who are recovering from acute injuries, chronic pain, muscle tension, migraines, anxiety, and depression, as well as those who need relaxation. Healing, comfort, safety, professionalism, and confidentiality are the cornerstone beliefs to my facility. Treatment protocols will be specifically tailored to meet your healing needs and comfort. The facility will be clean and follow strict sanitation guidelines for our safety. Both client and staff are treated with respect and dignity.

 

Client Profile, Current Health, and Health History is required prior to treatment.

·      Personal information will not be shared with outside sources. If in the event of referring out to additional healing services, the client will have the opportunity to sign a release form for pertinent information to initiate the connection.

 

Hours of operation:

·      Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10:00-6:30pm

·      Friday 10:00-2:00pm

·      Saturday from 10:00am-12:30pm.

·      Phone calls, voicemail, text message and emails are appropriate forms of communication to inquire about services, to schedule and/or cancel an appointment.

 All communications will be responded to within 24 hours. Same day appointments are available for returning clients and based on availability.

 

Appointment types:

·      Studio $100 for a 60-minute session or $150 for a 90-minute session

·      Mobile $250 for a 60-minute massage and $300 for a 90-minute massage.

·      Longer sessions are available upon request and required to confirm during booking. I accept Cash, Venmo, Apple Pay, Zelle, or Credit Card and do not provide insurance or third-party billing.

Discounts and gift certificates are available seasonally or as advertised.

New clients: Buy 1st treatment full price, get 2nd treatment $25 off

Refer a friend who receives treatment: Get $25 off your next treatment.

Treatment Packages are available for purchase.

I have a minimum 24-hour cancellation policy.

·      If cancellation notice is less than 24 hours the client will be charged 50% of the treatment.

·      If no notice is given the client will be charged for the full treatment and future appointments will require payment during booking.

·      If I cancel our appointment with less than 24-hour notice, your next treatment will be 50% discounted.

It is recommended to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to ensure all paperwork is completed, your questions or concerns are addressed, and your session begins and ends on-time.

**Arriving late will reduce your session time and full price of the treatment will be required.

Children-clients are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult during their scheduled sessions and should otherwise not be left unattended.

There are no childcare services for non-client children; please plan for their safety and care.

 Cancel or reschedule appointment if you are not feeling well, have a cold, or have a fever.

 Both the client and therapist will follow a personal hygiene, safety, and respect protocol: Arrive in clean clothes and have showered the day of and/or prior to treatment.

 The use of alcohol and/or drugs is strictly prohibited and must be avoided prior to treatment. Smoking is prohibited on the premises.

 For the safety of the therapist and your pets, pets are not permitted in massage treatment space.

*If any of the above listed items are not followed, the therapist has the right to refuse treatment based on discretion and cancel the appointment at the client’s expense.

 *We have a zero tolerance strictly prohibited policy for any sexual misconduct of any kind from either the client or practitioner during the appointment and will also result in immediate termination of appointment.

 Recommendations:

 Cell phones are recommended to be placed in airplane mode or temporarily mute all sounds.

 It is recommended to refrain from eating a full meal 1 hour prior to a treatment. Clients with concerns of low blood sugar or have specific dietary requirements are encouraged to follow medical guidelines.

 After a treatment it is recommended to hydrate with extra water/or electrolytes, rest and/be gentle to yourself, eat a healthy meal, and refrain from processed foods and alcohol for at least 24 hours.

Massage Therapy Consent and Release

By checking Terms/Conditions box, you agree to the following:

·       I voluntarily request and consent to receiving massage therapy.

·       I understand that the massage service offered is for the purpose of general wellness, stress reduction, and relief of muscular tension only.

·       I do not have any injuries or conditions that prevent me from receiving massage therapy. I understand the importance of informing my massage therapist of all medical conditions and medications that I am taking, and that there may be additional risks based on my physical condition.

·       If I experience any pain or discomfort, I will immediately inform my therapist so that the pressure or techniques used can be adjusted to my comfort level. I will not hold my massage therapist responsible for any pain or discomfort I experience during or after the session.

·       I understand the risks associated with massage therapy include, but are not limited to:

o   Superficial bruising

o   Short-term muscle soreness

o   Exacerbation of undiscovered injury

·       I do not have any contagious conditions that may put my massage therapist or other clients at risk.

·       I understand that I or the massage therapist may terminate the session at any time.

·       I have been given the opportunity to ask questions about massage therapy and my questions have been answered.

I have been advised of the policies and procedures pertaining to massage and I understand these policies. I further understand that massage therapy is not a substitute for a medical examination or treatment, and that I should see a physician or other qualified health specialist for any mental or physical ailment of which I am aware. I understand that massage therapists do not diagnose illness or disease, and nothing said during the massage should be construed as such. My consent is informed and voluntary and I understand that I may withdraw my consent at any time except for actions already taken.
